Healing and Damage

Healing

Aspect of Harmony's healing consists of two key components:

  • Aspect of Harmony HoT – Its strength is determined by the healing dealt to a target both during its initial application and while it remains active.
  • Coalescence – Increases your healing to affected targets by 20%, further amplifying the HoT's impact.

Application

30% of your healing is taken from vitality into the total amount of the HoT on the targets you’ve healed by direct sources.

Direct sources include but are not limited to:

Assume everything works except Ancient Teachings.

Targeted Healing Application

Targeted Healing Application

I dealt 705k healing with a Vivify while withdrawing vitality, an Aspect of Harmony HoT applied on the target at 40% strength, ticking for ~35k, totaling 282k healing done at the end of the HoT. Since I continued healing into the HoT, my next Vivify was buffed by 20% from Coalescence and 40% of that hit will continue to pile up into the targets of my healing and refresh the duration of the HoT until either my Aspect of Harmony Withdrawal window is over or I’ve used up all of my vitality.

HoT(s) already on the target

My target already has HoT(s) rolling on them prior to Aspect of Harmony Withdraw beginning - as soon as Renewing Mist heals, Aspect of Harmony HoT will apply immediately onto the target without needing manual intervention.

Purified Spirit

Purified Spirit

This only occurs if Purified Spirit is talented.
After Aspect of Harmony Withdraw ends, the rest of your vitality will dump into the Purified Spirit HoT, separate from the Aspect of Harmony HoT.

Damage

Passive Damage

Master of Harmony has a few default talent nodes that increase your damage passively:

Active Damage

Harmonic Gambit

Harmonic Gambit

The shining force of the entire Master of Harmony tree for dealing damage.

Talenting into Harmonic Gambit allows for Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick to also withdraw vitality to damage enemies.

Harmonic Gambit

Aspect of Harmony's damage consists of two key components:

  • Aspect of Harmony DoT – Its strength is determined by the damage dealt to a target both during its initial application and while it remains active.
  • Coalescence – Increases your damage to affected targets by 20%, further amplifying the DoT's impact.

Application

40% of the damage you deal is converted into the total amount of the DoT on the targets you’ve dealt damage to but ONLY from Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick.

Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, Rising Sun Kick

Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, Rising Sun Kick

I continuously strike my target with Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick, directly contributing to the DoT’s damage. Since I keep attacking while the DoT is active, my future abilities benefit from the 20% Coalescence damage increase, and 40% of each hit continues stacking onto the target, refreshing the DoT’s duration. This cycle persists until either my Withdraw window ends or my Vitality is fully depleted.

Intensify

I applied Aspect of Harmony DoT onto my target through one Tiger Palm and continued to “intensify” the Aspect of Harmony DoT with Spinning Crane Kick. Although that ability isn't mentioned in the Harmonic Gambit tooltip, Coalescence intensification applies to any damage dealt.

Intensify

This happens naturally with your regular Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick rotation, as well. With current tuning, I would still avoid using Spinning Crane Kick rotationally.

What NOT to do

What NOT to do

Activating Thunder Focus Tea and then using damaging abilities outside of Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Rising Sun Kick when intending to spend Vitality on damage. As shown, the Aspect of Harmony DoT never applied because Crackling Jade Lightning isn't part of Harmonic Gambit, resulting in zero Vitality being consumed from your reservoir. The same can be said about any ability outside of Harmonic Gambit.

Reminder

Any unused Vitality disappears if not fully consumed!
